Tips for a great tryout!

  1.  - Dress like a ball player!  Softball shirt, shorts, socks, cleats, visor or hat
  2.  - Bring your own glove, bat, water bottle and a protein bar
  3.  - Warm-up before the evaluations start
    1.  - Stretch, play catch, and take some swings
  4.  - Run from station to station
  5.  - If you make a bad play, throw, catch or swing, forget it and move on to the next task...don't get upset or show it!
  6. - - Display a positive attitude throughout the tryouts
  7.  - If you need to have the evaluators repeat a direction, ask
  8.  - Stay focused during entire evaluation, even if you are waiting for your turn
  9.  - Enjoy yourself!

Unable to make scheduled    tryout date?

Contact the coach for your age group, preferably before August 1, 2010 so that the coach can schedule a make-up tryout as early as possible (click here for link to coaches contact info).

Want to tryout for two different Heat teams?

The candidate must participate in both team workouts to obtain an individual score for each age level.
